Joined RIM in 2010 as a GL and progressed to D&R within the first year.

MOTIVATORS:

What keeps me motivated is that I know that I am an integral part of a team effort and that my contributions do not go unnoticed. Putting in an honest day’s work is part of my make-up. Of course there are challenging days, but what job doesn’t have those? The key is to stay focused, be proud of what you do, and try to learn something new every day. This keeps your mind and your body strong and makes you look forward to the next day.”

Dismantle & Reclamation is considered one of the most demanding jobs in this industry. The role involves several labor-intensive duties, including scouting the jobsite for hazardous materials, coordinating lifts with heavy machine operators, working in confined spaces, and hauling materials and equipment to each job site. Each RIM certified D&R crewman is trained and certified to work in compliance with safety procedures and possesses the official licenses to operate various equipment. D&R crewmen also take an active role in reclamation and sorting of various metals and recyclable materials.
